Land Rover India will spec the Range Rover for our market a little differently to what is offered in Europe, according to an insider from the company. The thinking is for the Vogue SE variant to be available with a slightly higher level of equipment as compared to the equivalent variant in Europe. Such an approach the company is confident will prove lucrative to the ultra-high net worth individuals who are likely to buy this car. All will be revealed on November last week.
This is the fourth-generation of the iconic Range Rover family, which makes a strong claim to be one of ‘the most versatile cars in the world’. Land Rover India is confident that despite the high price, the new Range Rover will be able to carve a niche for itself in this market. The diesel Range Rover uses a 4.4-litre V8 engine, while the petrol Range Rover has a 5.0-litre supercharged petrol engine.
Land Rover India will launch the new Range Rover in the Indian market, in Delhi, on November 30. The new Range Rover will be available in both diesel and petrol engine options, with prices expected to start at around Rs 1.7 crore.
The new Range Rover will be available in two diesel variants – Vogue SE and Autobiography, and a single petrol variant in the highest Autobiography trim level. The Executive seating option, which has two dedicated seats for rear passengers, will be a cost option.
